Next Generation Playground was founded by Jordyn and Nate Meinen in 2024. As parents of a lively 2.5-year-old with autism, they envisioned a safe, welcoming space where all children could explore, learn, and grow without becoming overstimulated. Believing that every child deserves equal opportunities, they set out to create an inclusive sensory playground, along with sensory-friendly art and music classes. Their vision extends beyond the children—they also wanted to create a community space where local families could connect, access support groups, and find valuable resources. Acknowledging that raising a child of any ability comes with challenges, Jordyn and Nate believe no family should face them alone. Their goal is to show the next generation a new way to play!
At Next Generation Playground, our mission is to create an inclusive, sensory-friendly playground where neurodivergent children and their families can explore, connect, and flourish. We are dedicated to offering a safe, supportive environment that celebrates diversity, encourages creativity, and nurtures each child’s unique strengths. Through intentional design and strong community engagement, we aim to build a space where all children can experience joy, grow in confidence, and form lasting friendships, ensuring that everyone feels valued and included.
