Next Generation Playground was founded in 2024 by Jordyn and Nate Meinen, inspired by their joyful, curious 3-year-old with autism. As parents, they saw the need for inclusive, sensory-friendly spaces where all children could play, learn, and grow without fear of overstimulation.

 

What started as a vision for an indoor sensory playground quickly expanded into community-based programs, classes, and events that support both children and their families. Jordyn and Nate believe in creating spaces where every child feels valued—and where parents can find connection, support, and understanding.

 

Their mission is simple: to show the next generation a new way to play—together, inclusively, and with purpose.

While we work toward building our physical playground, we are already living out this mission through our current programming and community events. Each class, pop-up, and gathering is designed to offer a safe, supportive space that celebrates diversity, encourages creativity, and nurtures every child’s unique strengths.

 

Through intentional activities and strong community partnerships, we’re creating joyful experiences where children grow in confidence, build friendships, and feel valued and included—because inclusion can’t wait for a building.
